Paul Giamatti, star of the new film Barney's Version, spoke to Boxoffice Magazine last week at the film's Los Angeles press day. In addition to discussing the challenges of bringing to life the title character of Mordecai Richler's acclaimed novel, Giamatti offered a few updates about a number of his upcoming projects, including the highly-anticipated adaptation of The Goon comic book which David Fincher expressed interest in producing a few years ago. Further, Giamatti examined the challenges of doing voice acting, and offered some insights on the process of collaborating with filmmakers like George Clooney and Tom McCarthy, who started as actors before making the transition into directing.
