Video: Patrick Lussier And Todd Farmer Talk 'Drive Angry 3D'

on February 25, 2011 by Todd Gilchrist

Screenwriter Todd Farmer made his feature debut with Jason X, a latter-day Friday the 13th installment that shot Jason Voorhees into outer space. Director Patrick Lussier cut his teeth literally for decades as an editor on almost every movie Wes Craven made after New Nightmare before becoming a filmmaker himself with a series of films that included straight-to-DVD horror sequels and the remake of My Bloody Valentine 3D. In other words, Farmer and Lussier's genre bona fides are indisputable, which is why their new collaboration Drive Angry feels like such an authentic slice of supernatural grindhouse grit. Boxoffice sat down with the duo at the recent Los Angeles press day for Drive Angry to discuss how they got this oddball adventure starring Nicolas Cage, Amber Heard and William Fichtner off the ground.
