According to BOXOFFICE.com's Early Weekend Estimates, it looks as though Clash of the Titans will edge past Date Night in order to claim the #1 spot for the second weekend in a row. Titans made $8.4 million on Friday, while Date Night brought in $9.3 million. Titans will likely gain ground on Saturday and then pull ahead for the weekend.
How to Train Your Dragon is holding up quite well. The Paramount release tacked on another $26 million during its third weekend in theaters. Even though the animated flick had a slightly underwhelming opening it is showing some serious legs.
As expected, Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married Too? will suffer a steep drop this weekend. Perry's films tend to be heavily front-loaded and this sequel is no exception.
The Last Song will maintain a solid chunk of its audience during its sophomore frame. Audiences are obviously accepting Miley Cyrus outside of her Hannah Montana character.
Letters to God looks to be on pace for a modest $1.25 million debut.
Check back tomorrow for studio weekend estimates.
