Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and The Town both held up nicely on Tuesday.

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps topped the daily box office again on Tuesday. The Oliver Stone directed sequel from Fox grossed $1.98 million for the day, which was up a strong 16 percent from Monday. After being fairly front-loaded over the weekend, Wall Street 2 has stabilized nicely on Monday and Tuesday. The five-day start for Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps stands at $22.70 million. Thus far Wall Street 2 is performing fairly similar to last year's Law Abiding Citizen, which grossed $24.55 million in its first five days of release. Whether or not Wall Street 2 can maintain a similar pace going forward remains to be seen.

Warner's The Town remained in second place on Tuesday with $1.60 million. The crime film directed by and starring Ben Affleck was up 13 percent from Monday and down a solid 39 percent from last Tuesday. After a better than expected opening weekend, The Town has been a very consistent performer in the days since then. The film currently boasts a twelve-day gross of $51.71 million, placing it 14 percent behind the pace of 2006's The Departed.

Warner Bros. also continued to claim third place with its Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole. The 3D computer animated film grossed $0.85 million. That was up just 3 percent from Monday, which represented one of the day's poorer daily holds among wide releases. Legend of the Guardians has grossed a disappointing $17.79 million in its first five days and will hope to hold up much better once the weekend hits.

Sony's Easy A held steady in fourth with $0.76 million. The PG-13 comedy from Screen Gems was up a very solid 14 percent from Monday and down 38 percent from last Tuesday. Easy A continues to perform in line with pre-release expectations and has now grossed $34.14 million through twelve days of release. Sony will look to extend its winning streak once again this coming weekend with the release of its highly anticipated The Social Network.

You Again rounded out the day's top five with $0.74 million. Disney's PG comedy starring Kristen Bell, Jamie Lee Curtis and Sigourney Weaver was up a healthy 26 percent over Monday. However, it is common for comedies skewing heavily female to have nice first-Tuesday holds. With a soft five-day start of $9.73 million, You Again currently trails the pace of this year's When in Rome by 31 percent, but it appears as though You Again will experience a significantly stronger second weekend hold.
