Jackass 3D continued to lead the daily box office with ease on Tuesday with a daily gross of $4.05 million. The 3D sequel from Paramount has led the daily box office for five consecutive days. Jackass 3D fell 9 percent from Monday, which represented the day's poorest percentage hold from Monday among wide releases. However, the decline was quite understandable given that the film held up nicely on both Sunday and Monday. Jackass 3D has grossed $58.86 million in five days and will zoom past the $60 million mark today. The film is currently running a whopping 75 percent ahead of the pace of 2006's Jackass Number Two (which experienced a 6 percent slide on its first Tuesday). Paramount will look to make it two in a row this weekend when it releases Paranormal Activity 2 on Friday.

Summit's Red remained in second place on Tuesday with $1.88 million. The PG-13 action-comedy starring Bruce Willis was up a very solid 14 percent from Monday. Red has exceeded expectations with $25.30 million in its first five days of release. The film is also showing stronger early holding power than that of recent Willis vehicles Cop Out and Surrogates. Red continues to perform very similarly to last year's Law Abiding Citizen, which also served as an October alternative for older moviegoers. Red is currently running 3 percent ahead of Law Abiding Citizen at the same point in its run.

The Social Network held steady in third with $0.86 million. Sony's early Oscar hopeful for Best Picture was up 11 percent over Monday and down a solid 37 percent from last Tuesday. The Social Network has grossed $64.08 million through 19 days of release and should continue to hold up quite well going forward. Look for the film to top the $70 million mark sometime over the upcoming weekend.

Disney's Secretariat continued to claim fourth place with $0.82 million. That was up 13 percent over Monday and down only 32 percent from last Tuesday. Like The Social Network, Secretariat continues to hold up well and is showing no signs of slowing down any time soon. Secretariat has grossed $28.89 million through twelve days of release and is set to clear the $30 million mark on Thursday.

Life as We Know It rounded out the day's unchanged top five with $0.81 million. The PG-13 comedy from Warner Bros. finished a slim $14,651 behind Secretariat for the day. Life as We Know It was up a healthy 27 percent from Monday and down 35 percent from last Tuesday. The film cleared the $30 million mark yesterday and currently boasts a twelve-day total of $30.06 million.
