According to Boxoffice.com's Early Weekend Estimates, TRON: Legacy is on pace for $48 million after raking in $18 million on Friday night. Some industry analysts had the film opening somewhere in the $30-$35 million range, so the debut definitely exceeds expectations. The film's real test will be how well it holds up during the Christmas holiday. Moviegoers expecting a typical Disney action film may be turned off by TRON: Legacy's dark and brooding nature.

Yogi Bear looks like it will bring in $15.8 million after grabbing $4.6 million on Friday. The Warner Bros. release will hold up well over the holidays even though word-of-mouth is bound to be lukewarm at best.

How Do You Know has landed with a loud thud. Sony's romantic comedy grabbed $2.55 million on Friday, which means it's headed for about $7.7 million. That's incredibly disastrous for a film with a reported production budget of $120 million.

The Fighter and Black Swan are both doing well after seeing their location counts expand quite a bit. Oscar buzz will aid both films during the crowded season.

Check back tomorrow for studio weekend estimates.
