Paramount's True Grit led the daily box office on Monday with $1.11 million. The critically acclaimed western remake has now led the daily box office for eight consecutive days. True Grit was down 69 percent from Sunday and down 58 percent from last Monday. Midweek grosses across the board have now come back down to Earth from their holiday highs, and competition from yesterday's NCAA Football Championship Game didn't help either. True Grit has grossed $111.15 million in 20 days and now trails Universal's Little Fockers by just $13.33 million.

After finishing in fifth place over the weekend, Fox Searchlight's Black Swan was up an impressive four positions to move into second on Monday. Black Swan grossed $0.81 million for the day. The Oscar hopeful for Best Picture continues to hold up especially well as it was down 64 percent from Sunday and down 46 percent from last Monday. Black Swan has grossed $62.03 million to date and already appears to be set to experience another strong hold over the upcoming Martin Luther King holiday weekend.

Little Fockers fell one spot from its second place finish over the weekend to take third on Monday. The high-profile comedy sequel grossed $0.79 million, which was down 74 percent from Sunday and down 68 percent from last Monday. Little Fockers has grossed a softer than expected $124.48 million through 20 days of release and will reach the $125 million mark today.

Season of the Witch was also down one spot from the weekend to finish in fourth on Monday. The Nicolas Cage vehicle from Relativity fell 70 percent from Sunday to gross $0.75 million. That places the four-day total for Season of the Witch at $11.37 million. Season of the Witch is slightly outpacing its modest pre-release expectations thus far, but is still extremely likely to fall off very quickly going forward.

TRON: Legacy was down one spot from the weekend to round out Monday's top five. Disney's 3D sci-fi sequel grossed $0.69 million, which was down 75 percent from Sunday and down 70 percent from last Monday.
