Warner's The Hangover Part II grossed $7.59 million on Tuesday to lead the daily box office for a sixth consecutive day. After experiencing Monday's largest percentage decline among wide releases, the blockbuster comedy sequel stabilized nicely on Tuesday by falling a very solid 57 percent from Monday. The Hangover Part II has grossed an exceptional $142.62 million in six days and is set to cross the $150 million milestone either today or Thursday. The film is currently running just 11 percent behind the pace of 2008's Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull, which is especially impressive when taking into account its R rating. The first Tuesday gross of The Hangover Part II was 15 percent stronger than the $6.59 million first Tuesday gross of 2009's The Hangover.

Kung Fu Panda 2 finished in second place with $3.47 million. The 3D computer animated sequel from Paramount and DreamWorks was down 74 percent from Monday's holiday inflated performance. That represented one of the day's larger daily declines among wide releases, which is commonplace for family films the Tuesday after Memorial Day. Kung Fu Panda 2 topped the $70 million mark yesterday and has now grossed $70.14 million through six days of release. That places Kung Fu Panda 2 10 percent behind the pace of 2008's Kung Fu Panda, which is especially underwhelming when considering the original film didn't have the benefit of 3D surcharges.

Disney's Pirates of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides grossed $3.17 million to place in third. The big-budget sequel starring Johnny Depp was down 69 percent from Monday and down 48 percent from last Tuesday. On Stranger Tides has held up reasonably well thus far when considering the magnitude of the new competition that entered the marketplace this past weekend. The film has also clearly limited some of the potential for Kung Fu Panda 2 with family audiences, as On Stranger Tides continues to inch closer towards Kung Fu Panda 2 in the daily rankings. The 12-day total from On Stranger Tides stands at $166.77 million.

Bridesmaids took fourth place for the day with $1.94 million. The break-out comedy from Universal continues to display tremendous holding power as it was down 54 percent from Monday and down a slim 17 percent from last Tuesday. Bridesmaids topped the $90 million mark yesterday and has now grossed $91.28 million through 19 days of release. The film is set to zoom past the $100 million mark this coming weekend and should continue to hold up nicely throughout the month of June.
