Paramount reports that The Devil Inside made $16.85 million on Friday and $11.75 million on Saturday. Unfortunately, the thriller will be on shaky ground after this weekend due to plenty of detractors. More than 10,500 Flixster users have combined to give TDI a mediocre 57% approval rating. CinemaScore ratings are all over the place with 16% of viewers giving it an A and 19% giving it a F. Paramount reports that 59% of the audience is under 25, and 54% is male.
Among holdovers, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo suffered the smallest decline from last weekend. Director David Fincher's uncompromising mystery film continues to build plenty of buzz.
