'Act of Valor' Easily Tops 'Good Deeds'; 'Wanderlust' and 'Gone' Underwhelm

Who needs trained actors? Relativity's Act of Valor is poised for an impressive $24.7 million debut thanks to $9.050 million on Friday and $9.480 million on SaturdayRelativity is projecting $6.170 million for Sunday. The audience breakdown is 71% male and 60% over 25. Nearly 10,000 Flixster users have combined to give Act of Valor a solid 85% approval rating.

Tyler Perry's Good Deeds is in a distant second this weekend. The drama managed $5.350 million on Friday and $6.650 million on SaturdayLionsgate projects $4 million for Sunday. The audience breakdown is 76% female and 85% over 25. An 88% approval rating from more than 5,600 Flixster users bodes well for Good Deeds' staying power in the weeks to come.

Despite boasting the most star power of any new release this weekend, Wanderlust is off to a very weak start. The comedy managed $2.2 million on Friday and $2.9 million on SaturdayUniversal projects $1.5 million for Sunday. The audience breakdown is 57% female and 61% over 30. More than 10,300 Flixster users have combined to give Wanderlust a disconcerting 66% approval rating.

Gone represents a huge misstep in the budding career of Amanda Seyfried. The thriller managed only $1.7 million on Friday and $2.1 million on SaturdaySummit projects $1.2 million for Sunday. The audience breakdown is 64% female and 61% over 18. Nearly 6,700 Flixster users have combined to give Gone an alarming 60% approval rating.
