The Grey grossed $1.25 million on Wednesday to lead the daily box office for a sixth consecutive day. The Liam Neeson vehicle from Open Road was down 23 percent from Tuesday, which represented one of the day's poorer daily holds among wide releases. The Grey has grossed a stronger than expected $23.99 million in six days, placing it 17 percent behind the pace of last year's Unknown.

Underworld Awakening held steady in second place with $0.89 million. Sony's 3D vampire action sequel fell 17 percent form Tuesday and a respectable 42 percent from last Wednesday. Thanks in part to displaying solid holding power by the standards of the franchise, Underworld Awakening has grossed $47.88 million in 13 days and is set to surpass the $50 million mark on Friday.

Lionsgate's One For the Money remained in third place with $0.68 million. The Katherine Heigl vehicle was down a so-so 21 percent from Tuesday. With a six-day start of $13.74 million, One For the Money is running on the high end of its modest expectations, but isn't living up to Heigl's previous box office standards.

Fox's Red Tails grossed $0.61 million to continue to claim fourth. The Lucasfilm produced WWII film showed some signs of stabilizing on Wednesday, as it was down just 13 percent from Tuesday and down 37 percent from last Wednesday. The 13-day total for Red Tails stands at $35.71 million, as the film continues to perform towards the higher end of expectations.

The news wasn't as good for Summit's Man on a Ledge yesterday, as it fell one spot and 25 percent from Tuesday to take sixth with $0.51 million. The PG-13 thriller starring Sam Worthington still hasn't hit the $10 million mark yet with a lackluster six-day total of $9.73 million.
