Sony's 21 Jump Street took in $3.01 million on Wednesday to lead the daily box office for a sixth consecutive day. The R-rated action comedy starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum fell a reasonable 25 percent from Tuesday. 21 Jump Street continues to exceed expectations with a healthy six-day start of $46.96 million and is set to surpass the $50 million mark either today or Friday. The film is currently running 14 percent ahead of the pace of 2007's Blades of Glory and 20 percent behind the pace of this year's The Vow at the same point in its run.

Dr. Seuss' The Lorax held steady in second place with $1.36 million. Universal's blockbuster 3D computer animated film was down a very solid 16 percent from Tuesday, but still down a sharp 57 percent from last Wednesday. The 20-day total for The Lorax stands at $162.82 million, leaving it $37.18 million away from reaching the $200 million domestic milestone.

John Carter grossed $0.93 million to remain in third. Disney's expensive sci-fi action film was down 24 percent from Tuesday and down 54 percent from last Wednesday. John Carter has grossed a disappointing $56.47 million through 13 days of release domestically and is likely to take a significant hit from Lionsgate's The Hunger Games over the weekend.
