The Hunger Games was able rake in $18.9 million on Friday and $25 million on Saturday—Lionsgate estimates $17.3 million for Sunday. That's a very solid sophomore hold for the sci-fi flick. A domestic gross of $400 million seems like an achievable goal at this point.
Wrath of the Titans finished in a distant second. The sequel grabbed $12.4 million on Friday and $12.8 million on Saturday—Warner Bros. estimates $8.97 million for Sunday. More than 20,300 Flixster users have combined to give Wrath a mediocre 70% approval rating.
Mirror Mirror grossed $5.88 million on Friday and $7.88 million on Saturday—Relativity estimates $7.66 million for Sunday. 16,000 Flixster users have combined to give the fairy tale a disconcerting 55% approval rating.
