Three Newcomers Defy Expectations

With $12.2 million in the bank on Friday and $13.2 million on Saturday, Think Like a Man will end The Hunger Games' streak of four consecutive #1 finishes. Word-of-mouth is incredibly strong for the ensemble comedy thanks to a healthy 86% combined approval rating from nearly 24,000 Flixster users.

The Lucky One is off to a solid start with $9.1 million on Friday and $8.5 million on Saturday. Nearly 28,000 Flixster users have combined to give the drama a respectable 77% approval rating.

With $3.5 million on Friday and $3.7 million on Saturday, Chimpanzee will turn things around for Disneynature after the underwhelming numbers$6.0 million opening and a $15.4 million domestic cumeAfrican Cats posted last April. The primate flick will top the $8.8 million opening of Earth to become Disneynature's best debut. The documentary currently boasts a 82% combined approval rating from nearly 13,000 Flixster users.
