'Skyfall' & 'Lincoln' Lead Slow Wednesday

Skyfall held on at #1 again on Wednesday with another $963,787 added to its total. The figure represents a 17 percent drop from Tuesday and just 21 percent from last Wednesday. The 23rd Bond flick's domestic total now stands at $264.4 million through 34 days of release.

Lincoln leaped up to the #2 spot again on Wednesday with $844,367, a 10 percent decline from Tuesday and 27 percent from last Wednesday. The film's cume is now $99.7 million.

20th Century Fox's Life of Pi declined 25 percent from Tuesday to Wednesday and slid back to third place with $748,473. With a current cume of $63.39 million, Life of Pi was also down 21 percent Wednesday-to-Wednesday.

Remaining at fourth place on Wednesday was The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2. The finale dropped 17 percent from Tuesday's gross to $712,401 and moved the film's total up to $270.97 million. By comparison, New Moon pulled $736,890 on the comparable 26th day of release while Breaking Dawn - Part 1 grossed $748,250. Part 2's cume currently sits ahead of the pace of New Moon of by $1.5 million.

Rounding out the top five, Rise of the Guardians softened by 18 percent from Tuesday but only by 12 percent from Wednesday to Wednesday. Yesterday's gross tallied $515,575 and shifts the animated holiday flick's total gross up to $63.4 million.
