Universal's Riddick posted $1.18 million yesterday, off 28 percent from Tuesday's take. The Vin Diesel actioner has now grossed $23.26 million in its first six days--about 25 percent behind the pace of 2004's The Chronicles of Riddick. Look for a second weekend drop around 60 percent.
Lee Daniels' The Butler added $0.756 million to its haul on Wednesday. That marks a 28 percent drop from the same day last week and bumps the drama's domestic total up to $93.74 million. BoxOffice projects The Butler will reach the coveted $100 million domestic milestone late Sunday night.
We're the Millers continues to roll on as it grabbed $0.64 million yesterday. The comedy was off just 23 percent from last Wednesday. Millers has amassed an impressive $125.6 million domestically since opening 36 days ago.
Sleeper hit Instructions Not Included eased 10 percent from Tuesday to $0.46 million yesterday. The Spanish comedy's domestic gross is now $21.92 million. With the film expanding into more theaters on Friday, we're expecting the weekend-heavy film to post another strong hold.
