Warner's American Sniper took in $2.65 million on Monday to lead the daily box office for an 18th consecutive day. In the process, the blockbuster Clint Eastwood directed film starring Bradley Cooper surpassed the $250 million mark yesterday. American Sniper was down just 38 percent from its deflated performance on Super Bowl Sunday and down 37 percent from last Monday. American Sniper has grossed a massive $250.39 million to date and is likely to re-stabilize with the Super Bowl now behind it.

Project Almanac placed in a distant second with $0.585 million. The low-budget sci-fi thriller from Paramount was down 52 percent from Sunday. Project Almanac has grossed a softer than expected $8.89 million in its first four days of release. That places the film a very disappointing 57.5 percent behind the pace of last year's Ouija.

Sony's The Wedding Ringer placed in third with $0.532 million. The modestly budgeted comedy starring Kevin Hart and Josh Gad fell 32 percent from Sunday and was down only 22 percent from last Monday. The Wedding Ringer has grossed $48.66 million in 18 days and is set to surpass the $50 million mark on Thursday.

Relativity's Black or White followed closely behind in fourth place with $0.518 million. The drama starring Kevin Costner and Octavia Spencer decreased 47 percent from Sunday. Black or White has grossed $6.73 million in four days. That is in line with the film's modest expectations and places the film 3 percent ahead of the $6.54 million four-day start of last year's Beyond the Lights.

The Boy Next Door rounded out the day's top five with $0.471 million. Universal's low-budget thriller starring Jennifer Lopez fell 53 percent from Sunday and 43 percent from last Monday. The Boy Next Door surpassed the $25 million mark yesterday and has grossed a solid $25.14 million in eleven days.

Paddington claimed sixth place with $0.470 million. The well received family film from The Weinstein Company was down 74 percent from Sunday and down a very slim 11 percent from last Monday. The 18-day total for Paddngton stands at $50.77 million.
