'Mockingjay - Part 2' Maintains First Place Lead on Wednesday; 'Creed' Holds Strong In Second Place; 'Krampus' Takes Third

Lionsgate reports The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 added $1.8 million on Wednesday, off 18 percent from last week. The franchise finale's 20-day domestic haul stands at $230.5 million -- 12 percent off the pace of its predecessor.

In second place, Creed held strong with another $1.07 million yesterday. That marks a 35 percent decline from last Wednesday. The strongly received series revival has taken in $68.1 million thus far, putting it 27 percent ahead of where 2006's Rocky Balboa stood at the same point.

Krampus claimed third place with $0.84 million yesterday, giving it a six-day total of $19.3 million. The holiday horror/comedy's positive word of mouth continues to be an encouraging sign heading into the heart of the holiday season. The film is pacing 2 percent ahead of Madea's Christmas and 19 percent ahead of A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas.

The Good Dinosaur took in $0.81 million on Wednesday in fourth place, bringing its 15-day total to $78.4 million. That's 22 percent off the pace of Tangled and 10 percent ahead of Pixar's A Bug's Life.

The Night Before rounded out the top five with $0.525 million yesterday. With $33.8 million in the bank so far, the raunchy holiday comedy continues to enjoy a leggy run driven by very positive word of mouth.
