With no new wide releases hitting theaters this weekend, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol is poised to stay #1.
Paramount's visceral action flick is easily the strongest release this holiday season. Star Tom Cruise has managed to work past any hesitant feelings that mainstream moviegoers may have had about him. Ghost Protocol currently boasts a very strong 88% approval rating from nearly 53,000 Flixster users.
War Horse is showing quite a bit of strength. Oscar talk is beginning to heat up in a big way for Steven Spielberg's drama, which will only increase interest.
Films aimed at families should continue to see steady business this weekend, particularly Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked.
