Blake Lively returns to theaters with The Age of Adaline, a romantic flick with a sci-fi twist. Will it become a date-night option or is it doomed to be overshadowed by female-friendly releases that hit theaters earlier? This week BoxOffice takes a closer look at The Age of Adaline's commercial potential.

The Age of Adaline
(Lionsgate)

PROS:

- Blake Lively certainly has her share of fans.
- Harrison Ford pops up in a supporting role, and that could help bring in male demographics/moviegoers aged 35+.
- The first trailer promises a romantic premise with high stakes.

CONS:

- After Fifty Shades of Grey, Insurgent and The Longest Ride, it's very possible that Adaline will have a tough time getting women to show up.
- We are not impressed by the film's performance on Facebook and Twitter following the release of its trailer.
