UPDATED: 'Skyfall' Reaches $300 Million Domestically

Saturday (1/19/13) Update: Skyfall took in an estimated $260,000 on Friday, its 71st day in release, to cross the $300 million domestic milestone (the current estimate is $300.147 million). The 23rd James Bond movie sits at #42 on the all-time domestic chart and could surpass The Twilight Saga: Eclipse ($300.53 million) for #41 by the end of this weekend.

Skyfall is the highest grossing Bond movie in both domestic and worldwide history, as well as the franchise's biggest domestic ticket seller since Thunderball and Goldfinger.

Wednesday (12/12) Update: With $888,168 in its first place finish on Monday, Skyfall surpassed The Amazing Spider-Man ($262.03 million) as Sony's highest grossing domestic film of 2012. The 007 flick's new total stands at $262.29 million and counting.

Worldwide, Skyfall has grossed $919 million through last weekend, good enough for #23 all-time. The Amazing Spider-Man made $753.9 million.

Friday (11/30) Update: With $1.864 million on Thursday and a new domestic haul of $229 million, Skyfall has overtaken The Bourne Ultimatum ($227.5 million) as the highest-grossing spy genre movie in domestic box office history.

Previously, Skyfall climbed past Mission: Impossible II, Austin Powers in Goldmember and Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol to join the top five over Thanksgiving weekend.
