NORTH AMERICA: 'The Martian' Hangs Onto First Place Wednesday with $1.07M; 'Bridge of Spies' & 'Burnt' Round Out Top Three

oct30wknd.pngFox reports The Martian eased 14 percent from last Wednesday to $1.07 million in first place on Wednesday. That gives the film an excellent $186.8 million domestic haul thus far as it prepares to eclipse Interstellar's final $188 million gross by the end of this week.

In second place, Bridge of Spies posted $0.79 million yesterday, down just 29 percent from last Wednesday. The well-received Spielberg-Hanks drama has earned a solid $48.15 million domestically to date.

Burnt took third place yesterday with $0.51 million, giving it a six-day haul of $6.76 million. Unfortunately, the film is pacing 45.5 percent behind Aloha.

Goosebumps claimed fourth place with $0.45 million, down 35 percent from last Wednesday. Its tally now stands at a healthy $58.95 million.

Rounding out the top five, The Last Witch Hunter bagged $0.41 million for a 37.5 percent week-to-week decline. Its 13-day total is $20.6 million.
