First Moviegoing App on Apple Watch Launches Friday, Just in Time for Next Week's "Avengers: Age of Ultron" Opening and Summer Movie Season

The Fandango app for Apple Watch was designed to elegantly deliver to your wrist all the essential information needed to make moviegoing a breeze. Once a Fandango movie ticket for participating theaters is purchased on an iPhone, a mobile barcoded ticket is delivered to the Apple Watch. The ticket can then be scanned by the ticket-taker for quick and easy access to the theater. The app also provides other key information including a countdown-to-showtime clock, directions to the theater, list of theater amenities including reserved seating and dine-in options, and more.
For the ultimate film fans, the app will also deliver engaging movie trivia, including film quote quizzes and fun shareable facts about the movie they just viewed. In future updates to the app, moviegoers will also be able to quickly rate a film and share their ratings with others, as well as receive other valuable movie notifications.
