The combination of Manolos, cosmopolitans and couture proved to be a strong cocktail on the big screen over the weekend. MovieTickets.com, the world's most powerful Internet movie ticketing service, reports Sex and the City: The Movie ranks No. 16 on its list of top performing films of all-time.

"The past weekend was notable for movie-going in general," said Joel Cohen, executive vice president and general manager, MovieTickets.com. "Any time online ticketing can contribute upwards of 30% of the opening weekend box office for any one particular title -- the value of the services we provide are really showcased."

The love-affair with the fearsome female foursome doesn't stop there. MovieTickets.com surveyed more than 16,000 moviegoers who saw Sex and the City over the weekend. Of those surveyed, 92 percent ranked the chick flick as excellent/very good.

Access Integrated Technologies, Inc. ("AccessIT") announced today, its plans for the installation of 150 of its leading edge CineLiveSM product in key markets throughout the United States. The technology, which enables the live broadcast to movie theatres of both 2-D and 3-D events such as sports and concerts, will be added to those theaters that are part of AccessIT’s satellite network, all of which are part of the company’s completed 3700 plus screen Phase 1 digital cinema deployment plan. Installations of CineLive will begin immediately in 50 sites and are anticipated to expand to at least 150 by the end of 2008.

Announced at ShowEast in October 2007, the CineLive product has been developed in conjunction with International Datacasting Corporation (TSX:IDC) and Sensio® Technologies Inc.(Sensio) (TSX.V:SIO) under and exclusive domestic license agreement with AccessIT and is designed to work with AccessIT’s satellite network and digital cinema systems equipped with 3-D technology.

As content owners across the globe prepare for the capture and broadcast of live 3-D events, AccessIT intends to further expand its satellite and CineLive network to include its planned 10,000 screen Phase 2 digital cinema deployment plan expected to begin this summer.

“By deploying these systems now, we hope to encourage more live 3-D programs to accompany our proven 2-D live broadcasts. The expansion of pre-recorded 3-D content has broadened the addressable market considerably during the past year and we are committed to providing more choices for theatre owners and content providers alike.” said Bud Mayo, chairman and CEO of AccessIT.

The company’s alternative content division, The Bigger Picture is expected to manage the distribution of many of the 2-D and 3-D live events enabled by this network.

The dining room features a sleek "black box" concept - a highly flexible performance space named for its black, box-like appearance with primary focus on the stage -- highlighted by custom murals, and enchanting gold Philippe Starck designed chairs and bar stools.

Cobb has partnered with 4 diamond award-winning chef Alan Lake to develop a menu to delight movie-goers. Originally from Chicago, Lake has recently worked in Japan, Dublin and Zurich and was a force behind Chicago's East Bank Club and the Sunset Marquis in Los Angeles. Chef Lake also was the opening chef at Delray Beach's renowned Sundy House and was the 3 time winner of the Professional Chef's Competition at the Delray Beach Garlic Festival.

Malco's paper supplier, Packaging Concepts, Inc. of St. Louis, unveiled the new line of alternative paper bags during the recent ShoWest convention in Las Vegas. The new PCI bags are made with Wausau Paper's EcoSelect TM ProPly® papers. The new grease-resistant bags are produced without using chlorine chemicals. These papers are produced as either natural greaseproof or with barrier treatments meeting rigorous FDA compliance. EcoSelect natural fiber papers are based on environmentally responsible manufacturing featuring bio-fuels, hydro power use and third party certifications.

Sony Pictures Releasing is going to provide alternative theatre content through a new unit called Hot Ticket according to Variety.

The studio will present non-movie content, such as the September conclusion of Rent's 12-year Broadway run, in high-definition digital projection to select movie theaters nationwide.

The move makes Sony the first studio to announce the formation of a division dedicated to distributing alternative content on the big screen.
