LOS ANGELES, CA -- MovieTickets.com (www.movietickets.com), the world's most powerful Internet movie-ticketing service, expanded its exhibitor program by signing an exclusive online ticketing agreement with New Orleans-based Southern Theatres L.L.C., which became the 25th new exhibitor to join MovieTickets.com in 2008. MovieTickets.com currently boasts 135 participating theater chains.

Under the agreement, MovieTickets.com will offer online ticketing for all of Southern Theatre's 18 locations and 268 screens. Southern Theatres operates The Grand Theatres and Amstar Cinemas, state-of-the-art multiplex stadium-seating movie theaters with locations across 15 DMAs including Houston, Orlando, Charlotte, N.C., and Greenville, S.C.

SHOWEAST, USA - In parallel with the signing of national service agreements with some industry players, GDC Technology (“GDC”) has made a similar arrangement with Christie Digital Systems USA, Inc. to expand its servicing network throughout the U.S. Under the agreement, Christie will provide a range of services to GDC’s customers such as product installation, maintenance and service support.

GDC has conducted extensive training programs for Christie technical staff in preparation for this cooperation. One of the important services to be provided by Christie on behalf of GDC is the remote monitoring of GDC servers at the customer site via Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP); this is to ensure prompt corrective measures can be taken in the event of any abnormality. Through its world’s second largest installed base, GDC has acquired extensive technical knowledge and experience required to train engineers for servicing its products. GDC’s service training program provides engineers hands-on training including everything from site survey and installation to service, troubleshooting and maintenance. GDC also maintains an expanding library of technical documentation that includes detailed manuals, troubleshooting guides and multimedia presentations.

New York, N.Y. - Screenvision, a leading cinema advertising sales, services and content distribution company, today announced a new long-term contract with Reading International, which owns and manages 50 cinemas with 450 screens, as well as live theatres and commercial real estate assets, in the United States, Australia and New Zealand.

Under the agreement, Screenvision holds exclusive screen advertising sales representation rights for Reading’s U.S.-based City Cinemas brand, Reading Cinemas brand and Consolidated Theatres brand movie theatres. This includes 19 theatres and 207 screens, with significant distribution in New York, NY, San Diego, CA and Honolulu, HI. Inclusive of Reading screens, Screenvision’s U.S. cinema advertising network exceeds 14,500 screens across more than 2,300 theatres nationwide.

Also under the agreement, Screenvision will install its satellite-based digital network in all City Cinemas, Reading Cinemas and Consolidated locations. Screenvision’s digital network delivers to theatres pre-movie entertainment and advertising content as well as specialty programming such as concerts, sports programming and other consumer entertainment, and is compatible with “2K” and “4K” digital projection equipment used to exhibit feature films. In New York City, Reading screens will be live on Screenvision’s digital network by the end of 2008. The remaining screens are scheduled to be digitized in first quarter of 2009, which will bring Screenvision’s total digital network to more than 7,000 screens nationwide.
