Just get it over with and see This Is Spinal Tap instead

Closing Escrow

A comedy about relationships and real estate, Closing Escrow is one of those self-aware mockumentaries of the sort Christopher Guest likes to make—only it's not that funny. Not that Guest's movies are particularly funny, either, save This Is Spinal Tap , which was co-written by Guest but is actually a Rob Reiner movie from back in the days when he was funny. But I digress.

Closing Escrow really isn't funny, despite the fact that two of its central players, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Cedric Yarbrough, are veterans of the popular cable TV series, Reno 911 , which is effectively this movie exactly, only with real estate instead of law enforcement.

Reno 911 , after the initial kitsch wears off, isn't that funny, either. But, if you do find all those Guest movies and/or Reno 911 funny, see This Is Spinal Tap again and rethink those notions.
