Happily engaged New York couple Anthony (Lane Janger) and Amy (Joelle Carter) have the perfect relationship, except for one thing: He's obsessed with the idea of getting another woman in bed with them and she's not interested. Her solution to dampen his ardor is to agree to the three-way, but with another man instead, namely Victor (Guillermo Diaz), who's got a crush on Anthony. When Anthony refuses, Amy decides to get even by beginning a flirtation with a lesbian neighbor (Jennifer Esposito). Then things get really out of hand.
Not nearly as courageous as it seems to be, "Just One Time" is a screwball comedy that is neither fast nor funny. And despite some decent performances, notably by Esposito and Carter, the film is further bogged down by writer/director/producer Janger's flat acting. "Just One Time" began life as a sharply written short film, but as a feature it's unmemorable. Starring Lane Janger, Joelle Carter, Guillermo Diaz and Jennifer Esposito. Directed and written by Lane Janger. Produced by Lane Janger, Jasmine Kosovic and Exile Ramirez. A Cowboy release. Comedy/Drama. Unrated. Running time: 93 min.
