And speaking, as we were yesterday of the new "original" cast of Star Trek, as they'll be seen in next summer's relaunch of the movie franchise courtesy of Lost (good) and Cloverfield (not so good) auteur J. J. Abrams -- I think it's safe to say that this guy....

...is going to be thoroughly believable as this guy.

The new kid, of course, is Zach Quinto, also from Lost, and I think it's genius casting, especially given that Leonard Nimoy , as Mr. Spock in his sunset years, is going to be in the film as well. Incidentally, Nimoy was 34 when that photo was taken; Quinto is 31.

For those of you who can't get enough of this stuff (and like I always say, I'm not a Trekkie, although I have the pajamas) I should add that a new teaser trailer for the Abrams Star Trek will arrive in theaters on November 14th, along with the new James Bond flick Quantum of Solace. As I also always say -- could be a hot one!
